I'd like to begin by acknowledging the impactful contributions of some trailblazing Black mental health professionals who have left a lasting mark not only on the Black community but also on the broader mental health field. Let's start with Dr. Inez Prosser, a pioneering figure who earned the distinction of being the first Black woman to attain a doctorate in Psychology.
