As an Associate Professional Counselor, Kaylee is under the supervision of David Markwell at Ridgeline Counseling. He can be contacted at ridgelinecounseling@gmail.com for more information.

Kaylee is a recent graduate from University of North Georgia where she earned her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During graduate school she took specialized classes including spirituality as well as child and adolescent counseling. Before graduate school, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia College.

She works with children, teens, and their families as they navigate through identity exploration, emotional maturity, and the challenges of growing up. She provides a safe and warm environment for children to be themselves by incorporating play, art, and a variety of engaging activities to make therapy not just a safe space, but also fun! Kaylee is passionate about allowing kids to be kids and communicate through the language of play- a kids natural language!

Alongside play therapy, Kaylee also utilizes a strength-based perspective, emotional focused therapy, and family system therapy. While these are areas of interest to her, she meets the client where they are at and tailors her approach to best fit their needs.

Kaylee offers individual and family sessions, as well as conducts in-school observations to build a well-rounded perspective of the clients’ day to day life.

A Few Words From Kaylee

As we navigate the world, we are faced with so many challenges and no “guidebook” on how to face them. We often look to others for the answers, or follow in the footsteps of those around us, but when we do that, we lose touch of our own intuition and sense of self. I aim to provide a space where my clients can get to know themselves, and realize that they have answers within. I may provide tools to help you cope, but you are the one who chooses to pick up the tools and use them.

So often what we need is a space where we can sort through what others are telling us to feel, who to be, and how to feel. In therapy I hope to assist you in sorting through what are your feelings versus the feelings of others you are taking on. I believe that all of my clients have the potential for healing within themselves- sometimes they just need someone to remind them of that. It is my honor and privilege to sit with you as you learn to believe in yourself.

“Recovery can only take place within the context of relationships; it cannot occur in isolation.” -Judith Herman

FAQ’s

HOW MUCH DOES A SESSION COST?

My fee for a 50 minute session is $150 and $160 for an intake session.

Rise Therapy Center is an out-of-network provider with many insurance companies, which means that we do not bill insurance companies directly. Your counseling services may be eligible for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits, medical spending (FSAs), or health savings accounts (HSAs). Health insurance plans and benefits vary. If you are interested in using your health insurance, please call your insurance provider to inquire about reimbursement for out-of-network counseling services.

Our Office Manger will provide you with a document on request called a "superbill," which is like an invoice but contains the service codes, dates of treatment, and monies paid during therapy. You would submit this to your plan directly, and your plan would reimburse you directly.

HOW ARE MY RECORDS STORED?

We utilize a HIPAA-compliant, encrypted, electronic medical record called TherapyAppointment that holds all of my clients' mental health records safely in it. You will get a link to a client portal where you fill in demographic information and can access your paperwork and scheduling. You can aslo find the portal login on our website.

DO YOU HAVE A CANCELATION POLICY?

I have a 24-business-hour cancelation policy. You will be responsible for an entire session fee if the change is made in less than 24-business-hours' notice. Exceptions may be made for emergencies—such as sudden illness or accident—at my discretion. It should be noted that insurance does not reimburse for canceled sessions, and HSA and FSA cards can't be used in these cases.
