Meet Kristin! Kristin works from an eclectic group of evidence-based treatments and finds herself leaning closer to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Inner Family Systems (IFS). Kristin has an interest in working with those who struggle with:

Kristin is currently a graduate student at the University of West Georgia, where she will earn her Master's of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling this year. Before graduate school, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern University.

As a graduate-level counselor, she can support children and adults in navigating life's challenges and the behaviors that may accompany them. She is passionate about helping individuals of all ages feel empowered and confident to overcome obstacles they might face.

Kristin creates a safe and comfortable space for all clients to express themselves authentically and naturally. She believes in a casual and creative approach to exploring their authenticity.

Outside of the office, Kristin enjoys spending her time connecting with friends, playing with her dog, Annie Jo, watching the Vancouver Canucks play, and reading. Sometimes it's the littlest of things that can fill your cup!

Hi there! I'm Kristin, and I'm happy to see you! From the moment you are born, you start learning about yourself—the big things and the not-so-big things. It can be hard and confusing to keep figuring things out and not know the answers, some of which are not even true! Therapy can help guide you through it. In therapy, we can discover who you are, perfectly imperfect as you are, instead of who you are expected to be. I have confidence that you are capable and worthy of taking up space and finding your path in this world. I can be your safe space to feel seen and heard authentically, as well as help you find the tools to make life better! From little ones to not-so-little ones, I am here to navigate the learning or unlearning of old ways and help lighten the load that life can sometimes bring.

FAQ’s

HOW MUCH DOES A SESSION COST?

My fee for an intake session and a 50 minute session is $95.

Rise Therapy Center is an out-of-network provider with many insurance companies, which means that we do not bill insurance companies directly. Your counseling services may be eligible for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits, medical spending (FSAs), or health savings accounts (HSAs). Health insurance plans and benefits vary. If you are interested in using your health insurance, please call your insurance provider to inquire about reimbursement for out-of-network counseling services.

Our Practice Director will provide you with a document on request called a "superbill," which is like an invoice but contains the service codes, dates of treatment, and monies paid during therapy. You would submit this to your plan directly, and your plan would reimburse you directly.

HOW ARE MY RECORDS STORED?

We utilize a HIPAA-compliant, encrypted, electronic medical record called TherapyAppointment that holds all of my clients' mental health records safely in it. You will get a link to a client portal where you fill in demographic information and can access your paperwork and scheduling. You can aslo find the portal login on our website.

DO YOU HAVE A CANCELATION POLICY?

I have a 24-business-hour cancelation policy. You will be responsible for an entire session fee if the change is made in less than 24-business-hours' notice. Exceptions may be made for emergencies—such as sudden illness or accident—at my discretion. It should be noted that insurance does not reimburse for canceled sessions, and HSA and FSA cards can't be used in these cases.
